These straw rockets from Simple Play Ideas are quick and easy to make, and kids will have fun decorating the rocket and launching it off the straw.
You only need materials you probably already have in the house, and it’s a great activity for a group of kids to do while waiting for fireworks time.
It’s also a super simple STEM activity because you can experiment with different sizes of rockets, using stickers or other things to weigh them down. Try racing rockets to see whose travels the farthest. So much fun!
