While the reputation for Mardi Gras among adults is not very kid-friendly, most kids like the symbols of Mardi Gras such as masks, beads and the colors purple, green and gold.
Using Mardi Gras as a hook for activities in the classroom or at home brings a little fun to the end of winter and gives you a chance to make some fun crafts and snacks.
Kids Activities Blog has a nice collection of Mardi Gras activities for kids, from making and decorating masks and crowns to making musical instruments with beads, baking king cake (or making colorful pancakes, if you’re less ambitious) and more.
Turn on the zydeco music and let the good times roll. Check out Kids Activities Blog for all the fun ideas.
