Peace Doves Yarn Wrapping Activity for Kids

March 23, 2022 by Sarah White Leave a Comment

It can be hard to know how to talk about war to kids, but even young kids often know a little bit about what is going on just from hearing the news or other people talking about it.

It’s a great idea to answer kids’ questions and calm their fears as honestly as you can in whatever way is appropriate for their age. But kids often want to be able to do something or make something that can bring them comfort or serve as a sign that they’re thinking about other people who are in a crisis.

This peace dove yarn wrapping activity from Sun Hats and Wellie Boots gives kids something to do with their hands while you talk about their worries, or they can work and send good thoughts or prayers to the Ukrainian people.

The blog post has a printable dove template, a couple of prayers you can say while working on your doves and ideas for display or use of the doves after you make them.

Book Review: Unauthorized Ultimate K-Pop Fanbook – Girl Group Edition

If you have a K-pop fan in the house, this is one of those books that feels like an easy gift win.

The Unauthorized Ultimate K-Pop Fanbook: Girl Group Edition is packed with puzzles, games, fan trivia and plenty of stickers, with groups including BLACKPINK, TWICE, LE SSERAFIM and HUNTR/X from K-Pop Demon Hunters.

It’s definitely more fun activity book than serious K-pop encyclopedia, which I actually think is part of the appeal. There are mazes, crosswords, bias-themed games and little references for fans to spot, plus 16 sticker sheets for decorating journals, photo books and anything else that happens to be within reach.

If your K-pop obsession started with K-Pop Demon Hunters, we’ve already got a few more ideas worth checking out, including our free K-Pop Demon Hunters coloring pages and digital images and these K-Pop Demon Hunters learning activities and printables.

And yes, K-pop has even made its way into the craft room with these K-Pop Demon Hunters cross stitch patterns.

I think this fanbook would make a cute birthday present, Christmas stocking filler or addition to a K-pop themed gift basket. Add some gel pens, a journal or photo-card binder and you’ve got a gift that feels a bit more thoughtful than simply grabbing another piece of merchandise.

The book is due for release on October 6, 2026, and based on the preview, it looks like a fun little pick for younger K-pop fans, tweens, teens and sticker-loving grown-ups who are absolutely not admitting how many sticker sheets they already own.
