Speech therapy is so important for little ones who need a little extra help learning how to make the right sounds for different letters and blends.
But that doesn’t mean it can’t also be fun. Of course, as we know, kids tend to learn better when there’s an element of play, which is why I love this list of crafts to use for speech therapy from Fireflies and Mudpies.
She has ideas for simple crafts and how to use them when working on particular speech issues.
These ideas are fun for creative play at any time, and might encourage kids who don’t love crafts to engage with them a little longer to continue playing the “game.” (I’m all about encouraging kids to craft, so that’s big for me, too.)

Did you know that October is Squirrel Awareness Month? I didn’t know we needed more awareness of these little creatures, but let’s take it as a sign to learn more about squirrels!
