As you can imagine I’ve done a lot of Valentine’s Day content over the years (see, for example, heart activities and Valentine’s Day STEM, to name a couple) so this year I thought I’d share something different with a bunch of Valentine’s Day printable activities.
Learn Grow Aspire has a nice set of printable activity mats that include coloring, a word scramble, word search, I-spy, spot the difference and more. One sheet (shown above) has a bunch of activities but there are others that include tracing and coloring.
Another activity sheet that’s like a placemat is from XOXO Erin Smith. This one includes a word search, maze, things to color and a few tic tac toe boards. Classic. She also has coloring pages and an I spy page.
Connect the dots on cute Valentine’s Day critters with these printables from The Artisan Life. The love bug is my favorite!
Unscramble words, work a big maze and do a Valentine’s Day themed crossword puzzle with these printables from Artsy Fartsy Mama.
Get a bunch of educational worksheets for preschool from Preschool Play and Learn. These include things like tracing hearts, roll a color, shape learning, patterns, letter recognition, counting and more. Great for use in the classroom or at home.
Looking for fun ideas for older kids? Brain Waves Instruction has a bunch of ideas for using a valentine theme to review vocabulary, do timed writing, spelling, and learning about Valentine’s Day. Many of the projects are found at Teachers Pay Teachers if you don’t want to personalize it for your own class.
And Raise the Bar Reading has some cute low-prep ideas for elementary students, including making a creature based on your answers to questions about Valentine’s Day, a classroom activity full of love, people bingo with a Valentine’s theme and some sweet writing prompts.
How do you use Valentine’s Day in the classroom or for learning activities at home? I’d love to hear about it!
