I love this idea for making a painting project a little more interesting for kids from Kitchen Table Classroom.
Grab all the details there, but the short version is to make two paintings and weave them together for more color and texture.
This looks great when you use a simple design like hers but is even fun just with abstract art or color splotches, though the effect will be different.
Either way it’s a fun way to explore art, weaving and texture.

Knowing the alphabet is the basis for learning how to read, so it’s important to get it down. Kids need to know the differences between letters, to be able to recognize their shapes and to know what sounds the letters make individually before they can start combining them in words.
