I love Lego challenges because they are a really easy STEM activity to do with items that we all already have at home or in our classrooms.
Frugal Fun for Boys and Girls has instructions for making a Lego jack o’ lantern, which you can even add a little LED light to so that you can use it as a Halloween decoration.
I like the idea of collecting all the necessary pieces for this project — and maybe throwing in a few extra things, too — to see if your child can figure out how to make a jack ‘o lantern from the parts.
So cute! I want to make these just on my own, too.

With little kids especially, linking learning to physical activity really does help them learn. Movement can help kids focus, and it just keeps them from sitting still all day, which isn’t good for anyone.
