I just came across this amazing resource from Science Sparks: a free ebook on science for the early years, full of fun experiments you can do with a classroom of kids or with your own child.
There’s some really fun stuff in here like painting on ice, making a snow volcano (maybe we’ll get enough snow for that this year!), looking at fingerprints, magnet mazes, boat racing, making zip lines for dolls and more.
I know my daughter (first grade) would love a lot of these activities, so they’re not just for the preschool set.

I feel like I’ve been writing a lot (and thinking a lot) about things that you can do inside when it’s too hot to consider going outside to play, but when you get those nice days (or if you’re already planning things to do when it’s a little cooler out) you need to be ready to take advantage.
