Homemade gifts are the best for holidays like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, and these easy Father’s Day crafts are great for kids to help with and that make useful gifts for dad.
I love a good picture frame craft like this cute and easy one from B Inspired Mama. Use random nuts and bolts (and craft sticks) to make a cute picture frame. Even little kids can paint the sticks or make a drawing or write a note to go inside the frame.
I also like this Scrabble tile frame from Easy Peasy and Fun. Kids can help choose the words (this one uses fantastic and father but if you call him dad or papa you can pick another word to go along the other side) and they can help spell out and glue down the words and paint the frame or add other decor.
Use orphan puzzle pieces and more craft sticks to make this cute frame from Crafty Morning. Posing the kids with a sign that says love you to pieces is extra cute, but you could also write we love you to pieces on the frame if you’d rather do that.
Make dad a fun paperweight out of salt dough and rocks with this idea from Crafts by Amanda. This one uses pea gravel for most of the lettering, or you can hunt for tiny rocks in the backyard to use. You could also just paint a rock with a sentiment about Father’s Day and he could use that as a paperweight if you have big rocks lying around.
Or use rock shaped tablecloth weights to make a cool rock keychain decoupaged with a map. You can also make holes in found rocks for this idea from Pillar Box Blue, but using weights that already have holes in them makes it that much easier and you can find them in lots of cool shapes.
Older kids can make this fun duct tape tray for dad with instructions from Today’s Parent. They might even want to make one for themselves while they are at it.
