This time of year Indian corn (or flint corn) is a common decoration, but it can also be used in learning activities at school or in the home.
Homeschooling my Kinetic Kids has a great list of ideas for ways to use Indian corn in the classroom with a range of ages in mind.
From making prints in Playdough to counting kernels, grinding corn and more, there are lots of fun ideas here you can do without a lot of prep or supplies.
Do you use Indian corn in the classroom? I’d love to hear how you play with it.
