Paper quilling is a fun and easy craft that involves wrapping strips of paper around themselves to form into different shapes. There are special paper quilling tools you can buy, but to get started you can cut your own card stock strips and use toothpicks, skewers or chopsticks to form the shapes.
Check out this cute apple quilling project from Projects with Kids to learn the basics. Starting with any shape — such as an apple, pumpkin, Christmas tree, etc. — you could make this kind of project with different colors and shapes for easy holiday art projects.
