Coding doesn’t have to be done on a computer. The basics of code, which is really just following directions, can be taught in a lot of different ways.
Give coding without a computer a seasonal twist with this jelly bean coding activity from Team Cartwright. In this project the Easter bunny needs to find its basket by working around obstacles.
Different colors of jelly beans stand for different commands to help the bunny through the maze (three levels are available in the printables with the post). This is a fun and easy way to introduce coding concepts and get kids thinking logically. And you can eat the materials when you’re done.
