These paper lanterns from Red Ted Art are so pretty and easy for kids to make (maybe with an adult’s help cutting out shapes).
They were intended to be a craft for Diwali since it is a festival of light, but there are plenty of other holidays and celebrations this time of year when a little more light would be appreciated, such as winter solstice or even Christmas or Hanukkah.
If you’re crafty you probably have everything you need to make these already. If kids who will be making them aren’t old enough to use craft knives themselves, have them draw out shapes and you can cut them out for them.
Head to Red Ted Art for all the details.
